This work was exhibited at the Museum of the City of Valencia, Palacio del Marqués de Campo. Inspired by Ares, the god of war in Greek mythology, this painting offers a different reading of the masculine archetype. Far removed from confrontation, the scene speaks of vulnerability and intimacy. I Surrender to Ares explores the possibility of finding beauty and strength precisely where we stop resisting and allow ourselves to feel.
